Louisiana Redfish Trips January 2026

Join us deep in the Louisiana Marsh for three days of chasing bull reds, massive black drum, and Cajun permit (sheeps head). Bull red season runs October- February,and is one of the only fisheries that hits its peak in the dead of winter. These fish fight hard, eat aggressively, and are a blast to target for experienced and beginner saltwater anglers alike.

We will be fishing with a hand-picked team of experienced guides southwest of New Orleans (the same team we had last year) and staying close to the marina. The weather that time of year typically ranges from 50-75 degrees; this draws the big reds onto the flats to feed. We will also encounter huge, belly crawling black drum and inquisitive, crab-crunching sheeps head cruising the grassy banks.

We will be offering this trip as an All-Inclusive package! We will be staying at Top Water Lodge; this lodge is a waterfront fishing camp with gorgeous views and upscale amenities. Every guest will have their own private room and private bathroom. To make things even better, we will have a local chef preparing all of our meals, lunches for our day on the water and authentic Cajun dinners in the evenings. The lodge also includes a well stocked bar and all alcoholic beverages are included!  We will take care of all ground transportation to and from Louis Armstrong New Orleans Airport. All you need to do is show up! 

  There are very few trips where you can find world class saltwater sight fishing for large fish this time of year. We ran several trips last winter and caught redfish up to 45", black drum to 40+lbs, and sheeps head! This fishery is truly one of a kind! The trip is limited to 10 anglers, so reach out ASAP, this trip always sells out quickly!

Fall Assabet River Stocking

It’s that time of year again. Fall has arrived, and that means it's time for our October Assabet River trout stocking. This year we have a special incentive to keep the Assabet stocked and fishing well through the Winter. Just one more reason to support our local resource!

Thanks to generous fly donations from great customers,we are offering a dozen flies for every donation of $75 or more! We have an amazing selection ready and waiting for you, with patterns ranging from Maine Streamers and Salmon flies, to classic nymphs and dries. Whether you fish here in New England or abroad, there will be something for you! Come grab some new flies for the fall while also helping out a great cause. When you stop by with your donation,you'll be able to pick out your own selection of flies!

 We are keeping an eye on water conditions and anticipate stocking as soon as we are able to. If you fish the Assabet, please consider donating. We rely on your generosity to raise funds and without your donations the stocking cannot happen.
